Micanite sheets are used in plate, band and air blower heaters. They are products with high electrical insulation properties, and the thin ones can easily be formed. We stock thicknesses from 0.10 mm to 30 mm. They are supplied as plates measuring 1000×1200 mm.
Micanite Sheet
Micanite sheet is a material generally used for electrical insulation and thermal insulation. The term "micanite" is used for a composite material made of a combination of glass fibre and epoxy resins. This material has properties such as high temperature resistance, chemical resistance and electrical insulation. Micanite sheets are generally used for insulating electric motors, supporting and insulating coil windings, thermal insulation, the inner surfaces of industrial furnaces and other high-temperature applications. These sheets have a structure that can operate reliably at high temperatures and under electrical load. For this reason they are widely preferred in industrial applications.
In Which Industrial Applications Are Micanite Sheets Used?
- Electric motors: Micanite sheets are used in electric motors to support and insulate the stator and rotor windings.
- Transformers: Micanite sheets are used to insulate the windings inside transformers.
- Heating systems: Industrial furnaces and heating systems require insulation materials resistant to high temperatures. Micanite sheets are used to provide thermal insulation in such systems.
- Industrial equipment: Micanite sheets are used as an insulation and isolation material in industrial equipment.
- Electric heaters: Micanite sheets are used in the internal structure of electric heaters.
Advantages of Micanite Sheet Heaters
- High temperature resistance: Micanite sheet heaters are a special composite material that can withstand high temperatures. This property allows them to be used in high-temperature applications such as industrial heating systems and furnaces.
- Excellent oxidation resistance: Micanite sheet heaters generally have excellent oxidation resistance. This ensures a long service life even when operating at high temperatures.
- Low temperature coefficient: Some micanite sheet heaters have a low temperature coefficient. This provides more stable performance against temperature changes.
- Suitability for various applications: Micanite sheet heaters can be designed to suit various industrial applications. They can be produced in different sizes, shapes and resistance values.
- High durability: Micanite sheet heaters are generally mechanically durable and provide reliable performance in various industrial environments.
- Corrosion resistance: Some micanite sheet heaters are resistant to corrosion. This property allows them to be used in the chemical industry and in aggressive environments.
- Long service life: Micanite sheet heaters generally have a long service life. This provides long-term performance in industrial equipment and systems.
Mica Tubes
Mica tubes are pressed from approximately 90% muscovite mica and 10% silicone binder and are suitable for continuous operation up to 500 °C. Their electrical insulation and mechanical strength are high; they can easily be cut and used at the required length. They are used as insulating elements in cartridge and tubular heater manufacturing, electric motors, furnaces, arc furnaces and metallurgical equipment.

Mica Roll
Mica roll is a flexible insulating material produced by placing glass fibre cloth between two layers of phlogopite micanite. In induction furnaces it forms a smooth, insulating intermediate layer between the coil and the furnace lining; it is also used in industrial furnaces. It comes in rolls and is cut to the required size for application.
