General Information
A twin tube quartz heater is produced by combining two quartz tubes side by side in a common body. It offers approximately twice the power in the same mounting width; it is therefore preferred in applications where space is limited but the required radiation intensity is high.
The ability to control the two tubes separately is the most practical feature of this product. When power demand is low, only one tube is switched on to save energy; when full power is required, both are operated together. This makes stepped power control possible without additional hardware.
Typical applications are thermoforming ovens, wide-surface drying tunnels and glass processing lines. The body length and reflector type are made to suit the application; when the heaters are arranged in rows to form a heating field, the spacing between tubes is calculated to give uniform radiation distribution on the target surface.
Applications
- Thermoforming ovens
- Wide-surface drying
- Glass processing
- Composite curing

Frequently Asked Questions
If mounting space is limited and the required radiation intensity is high, a twin tube delivers twice the power in the same width. In addition, by controlling the tubes separately, two-step power adjustment is achieved without additional hardware.
It depends on the body design. If a serviceable version is requested, the tubes are produced so that they can be replaced individually; this must be specified in the order.
