General Information
An electric fan heater is a complete product made by combining a finned or plain tubular heater assembly and a fan in a common housing. It is used for heating spaces such as workshops, warehouses, construction sites and greenhouses, as well as for local heating inside machines.
The unit includes sequence protection between the fan and the heater: the heater cannot switch on without the fan running, and when the heater is switched off the fan keeps running for a while to sweep away residual heat from the housing. This cooling delay prevents heat build-up after shutdown and the failures it causes.
The housing is made of sheet steel or stainless steel sheet; a bracket for wall or ceiling mounting and a stand for portable use are offered. Power can be selected in stages, and with the integrated thermostat the unit operates automatically according to the room temperature.

The required power depends on the volume to be heated, the target temperature rise and how well the building is insulated. The standard product cannot be used. Hazardous areas such as paint booths and solvent stores require explosion-proof equipment designed with a type of protection suited to the zone classification.
